SAT Score: Unavailable, couldn't test due to COVID

I studied for 2 months straight for the SAT. You have to dedicate time to practicing and knowing what to expect on test day. Here are the resources I used to study:
  1. San Pablo Public Library: I checked out SAT practice books, studied them, and tested myself using the practice tests at the end of the book.
  2. Khan Academy: I took the full length SAT practice tests and did daily multiple choice practice for math and English.
  3. YouTube: Dr. John Chung is known as the hardest SAT math resource out. The questions are significantly harder than the real SAT, which means it's a solid resource for those shooting for ultra high SAT scores.

ACT Score: 27

First Attempt: 23

For those studying for the SAT and or ACT, no worries you have many resources to help you do well.  When I first took my ACT, I didn’t do as well as I wanted, but as someone who doesn’t necessarily like standardized tests I wasn’t in the mood to retake it.  When my mother and mentor urged me to study and retake the ACT, I agreed and purchased a Kaplan ACT study book.  The size of the boom alone caused me to hesitate and question myself: would I really be able to study and do better on the next test?  Well, I did and you can too! By focusing on the sections I knew I needed the most help in for a few days out of the week after doing homework or on my weekend mornings, I was able to get my score of 23 to a 27.

AP Calculus BC: Score (5)
Mr. Pang is one of the most dedicated teacher I have ever had. I took his AP Calculus AB and BC courses, and he offered tutoring during lunch, after school, and at the local coffee shop on weekends. I attended pretty much every Sunday tutoring session with him and I'd study after school leading up to exams. When we transitioned to Zoom in 2020, Mr. Pang held virtual sessions, and those helped a lot. I'd
complete my homework and go to office hours with any questions I had or mistakes that I made on assignments. Most important thing was going back and redoing every problem that I did wrong until I understood it.
AP English Language & Comp: Score (5)
Studying consisted of attending Ms. Mayeda's AP study sessions and using College Board's AP prep videos for free on YouTube! Check out their playlist, study it in depth, and you will do very well on the exam.
AP Spanish Language & Culture: Score (5)
Spanish was my first language, so it has always been there for me. My fun study practice consisted of watching "Elite" on Netflix.

Testing dates to be aware of.

Why are tests important? Some but not all schools still require standardized testing such as SAT or ACT. ALL schools are impressed by high scoring AP exams; AP Calculus BC, AP Biology, AP Environmental Science, AP Spanish, AP Chemistry, etc. ...these are all super impressive courses!
